Sixth graders will learn through Scripture, prayer, discussion and reflection about their Catholic faith. Catholic values are discussed and integrated not only in Religion, but in all learning. The focus is on:
· God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit
· planning, assisting in liturgy and other forms of worship
· the sacraments
· service
· church history and Old Testament
· morality and decision making
· church responsibility and participation

5th Grade MATHEMATICS
Fifth grade students acquire a knowledge of mathematics and the ability to apply math skills to solve problems.
Students will:
· identify place value
· use fractions and decimals in the four operations
· solve multiple step word problems
· use ratio, percent and probability
· use estimation and rounding to solve problems
· determine appropriate formulas to measure & compare
· construct figures and shapes
· identify & use commutative & associative properties
· interpret data
6th Grade Mathematics
Sixth grade students acquire a knowledge of mathematics and the ability to apply math skills to solve problems.
Students will:
· know and apply fraction and decimal operations, and apply problem solving skills
· use formulas, expressions, and equations
· identify and use patterns and number theory
· chart, compare, graph and analyze data
· solve equations that contain a variable
· find area, perimeter and volume
· identify ratio and proportion
· measure in customary and metric systems
· identify parallel and perpendicular lines, line segments, points, rays, angles and planes
7th Grade MATHEMATICS
Seventh grade students acquire a knowledge of mathematics and the ability to apply math skills to solve problems.
Students will:
· know and apply decimal notation
· use powers and scientific notation
· use formulas, expressions, and equations
· use ratio, proportion, and percent in various applications
· use problem solving strategies
· graph and analyze data
· solve equations using order of operations including exponents
· find area, perimeter of 2-D and volume of 3-D figures
· measure in customary and metric systems
· recognize and identify characteristics of lines, angles, polygons and 3-D figures
8th Grade MATHEMATICS
7th Grade
