INTERNATIONAL  STUDIES  GRANT

Holy Ghost School believes that "culture" does matter and appreciating this diversity at greater depths can truly make a differrence in the lives of its faculty, students, school families and eventually within the greater community.  For several years the school has applied for funding to initiate within its curriculum an "International Studies" elective program.  This funding would enable the school to purchase additional library materials, classroom resources, and internet resources that would ensure the program's effectiveness in helping the students have a greater understanding of the richness of the various cultures and how their lives can benefit from them.

In July the school received a letter from The Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word in Houston which stated that they approved giving the school a "Claude Marie Grant" to finance the implementation of a multicultural curriculum for all grade levels.  The school is deeply grateful for the sisters belief in its goals of striving to bring about such a change that could truly transform the lives of their students and perhaps their 'future' as well.
