open us to your dynamic presence,
stir our stagnant waters,
waken our sleeping gifts.
Spirit of the Living God,
open us to your transforming power,
Love us with courage to go to the depths
Spirit of the Living God,
guide us through this School Year
into a future full of hope.
Blessed Theresa, pray for us!
Admonish your children in ways of righteousness.
Be a model of prayer for them.
Coach them in ways of kindness.
Dedicate them to the Lord and His Mother.
Enable them to develop their special talents with your encouragement.
Find new gifts in them and tell them what you found.
Guard their purity of heart, tell them: be vigilant and pray.
Hug them tightly often, especially when they look sad.
Insist on their good manners.
Join with them in their sorrows and joys.
Know their friends.
Listen carefully to what they say to you.
Make your scoldings mild and loving.
Never say: Come tomorrow. I don't have time to listen to you today.
Open their minds and hearts to words about God's sacred gift of sexuality.
Praise them when they succeed. Affirmations are so important to youngsters.
Quiet their fears.
Reserve time to attend their sports and school activities.
Show them unconditional love.
Teach them to love the Lord and His people.
Understand their struggles.
Value who they are and now what you expect them to be.
e"x"pect great things from them...set the bar high.
Your tasty cooking will endear you to your children.
Zeal for the Lord on your part will mean more to the children than 100 homilies.
