Holy Ghost is a Catholic Elementary School Serving a culturally diverse group of students in Pre-Kindergarten (3 and 4 year olds) through Grade 8.

Mission Statement

Holy Ghost School, in the teaching mission of the Church, reflects the Catholic Bishops directive, "To Teach as Jesus Did." Holy Ghost School strives to achieve the four main purposes of Christian Education: proclaiming the message of Jesus, showing through worship the sign of Christian unity, creating community among its members, and serving the Christian and entire human community.

Holy Ghost School is founded upon the ideals of a Liberal Arts Education. We offer a multitude of educational pursuits for all grade levels, and thereby emphasize the four pillars of Christian Education

  1. Proclaiming the Gospel
  2. Uniting through Worship;
  3. Creating Christian Community
  4. Being of Service to Humanity.

Philosophy

Holy Ghost School is a part of the total Catholic Community of Holy Ghost. Our purpose is to make known the love God the Father revealed through his son, Jesus. This is achieved through the spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical development of the student. At Holy Ghost School, we strive to develop the intellectual potential of students according to their abilities. We want students to come to know the meaning of being a Catholic Christian and to grow in the ability to respond to the demands asked of them. Self discipline is emphasized as a means of obtaining the high standards of moral integrity that we expect of all our students. While personal growth is of utmost importance, we want each student to become aware of the needs of others, to take responsibility in serving others and in helping to build the Christian Community. Indeed, each student is truly called to be a witness to Christ.
